SKF integrate its North American automotive seals manufactur
SKF bearings announced that it plans to transfer automobile sealing manufacturing in the United States Elgin and Illinoisred to other parts of Mexico and the United States. This necessary integration is aimed at maintaining competitive power of the skf bearings in the United States car market.
The total of the integration cost of SEK 60 million, of which 35 million is the reconstruction costs of the fourth quarter of this year, 25 million is the reconstruction costs in 2009. To finish the full implementation until 2010, the project will reach an annual revenue of around SEK 30 million.
The integration is expected to take up to 12 months. About 160 employees will be affected in Elgin area.
