Rolling bearing can automatically compensate the relative deviation of bearings centerline and bearing in order to ensure the normal work of capacity of bearing. This is called self-aligning performance of SKF Bearing.
Due to processing errors of installation of bearing, the inner andouter ring of the axis can not be maintained in the work of coincidence by any loading. It would produce a certain deviation. Deflection will cause the bearing axis within the non-uniform distribution of contact stress. It will cause early failure. Therefore, the general design should improve the assembly design requirements, we should selecte bearing with good self-aligning performance in the occasion of large deformation.
Self-aligning ball bearings and self-aligning roller bearings has a good self-aligning performance. Deep groove ball bearings, its spherical diameter fit concave spherical surface of the bearing seat hole wil lmake the self-aligning range widely.
