TIMKEN Bearing Developed a New Advanced Bearing Material

Due to a new advanced bearing material developed by TIMKEN bearings, The United States TIMKEN bearing company acquired a orders of 2.4 million U.S. dollars. The order was financial supporting by the U.S. federal funds. This is a new action after NSK Bearings company  developed the plastic bearing material and SKF Bearing company developed high performance car bearings retainer. The difference is that the project is mainly used to meet high-performance of characteristics the United States VAATE project.
Advanced bearing material is currently being a part of the engine development project of Timken. TIMKEN will show how the material works longer than before in a conditions of higher speed and hotter temperature. This technology helps to enhance engine performance and can reduce fuel consumption, emissions and operation costs.
